A Guide to Noosa

Noosa Beaches

One of the best holiday destinations of Queensland, Australia is the northern resort of Noosa beside Noosa River of the Sunshine Coast. A group of fantastic beaches like Sunrise Beach, Sunshine Beach, Marcus Beach and Noosa Heads marks the Noosa location. This resort area spans between Peregian Beach and Noosaville and is specked by a number of interesting tourist spots.

Places of interest

You can visit Little Cove near Noosa National Park, Hastings Street and the shoppers’ hot spot in Noosa Sound and Noosa Junction. If you want to catch a panoramic view of the entire Noosa location, you must mount the Noosa Hill overlooking Noosa River estuary and Laguna Bay. Better still, get a map of Noosa and you will have an idea of how to reach these spots.

The Noosa weather

The weather is one of the attractions of Queensland that draws comfort-loving tourists to Australia every year. During July, the temperature drops down to lowest 10.2 ºC. The summers witness a hike in temperature up to 28.8 ºC. Rainfall remains a year-round feature of Noosa weather but usually the autumns are the wettest. You will scarcely find abrupt climatic changes like cyclones in Noosa. This favourable climate is a great plus for tourists to frolic in Noosa’s beaches.

Sunny surfing beaches

Just like the Noosa weather, Noosa’s beaches are popular for their gentle serenity and their location to the north of Australia. Apart from swimming and surfing, you can also go fishing upon the softly rocking waves. You must visit Noosa National Park to have fun while exploring the coves and rocky headlands of Alexandria Bay. However, be careful while swimming in these unguarded beaches.

Sunshine Beach offers you the greatest private space to indulge in. Usually the southerly swells in First Point are benign in nature but you must be careful of the occasional turbulence experienced in Noosa’s beaches. Seek the protected coves available at the National Park if you are a novice surfer. However, if you ask the Noosa locals, they will recommend Tea Tree Bay and Granite Bay for surfing.
